The Research Rooms are created to facilitate the work of researchers and academics.

Salas de Investigación-INTRO
The Research Rooms were created to facilitate the work of researchers and academics, allowing them to work with the databases and microdata of the Social Security. Access shall be limited to staff belonging to accredited research institutions and the purpose of access should be to carry out studies in the field of social protection.
There are currently three operating rooms: Madrid, Barcelona and Albacete.
Only authorised staff can go to these Rooms, who must access them without any electronic device. You will be provided with credentials to access the position assigned to the Research Room, where the investigator will find detailed instructions.
The following programs and programming languages are offered: SAS, STATA, R and Python (as well as Microsoft Office).

How to request access?
The researcher will request access to data through the web form published on the Data Portal, sending an email to the mailbox solicitudes.sala-investigacion@seg-social.es
Procedure
The request is registered in the database and is studied by a Committee of Experts. If approved, the necessary data is prepared and placed in a private personal folder.
The investigation is carried out and the result of the study will be analyzed by the Committee of Experts.
Once the result is approved, it will be sent to the researcher by secure means.
The study will be published in the Data Portal.
